By inserting it into the gap between the cross member and the chassis, it increases clamping force, prevents excess movement of the cross member, and enhances steering linearity.
Since it does not change the hardness of the bush itself, unlike typical body reinforcement that can alter ride comfort or cause noise, it improves steering feel without compromising the chassis's inherent quality.
