Specifications

Under Panel: 2.0mm thick, aluminum Bracket: Aluminum
Category: Cooling

Description

The under panel improves aerodynamic efficiency under the body during high-speed driving, generating downforce.

It also suppresses airflow entering the engine bay. By incorporating a vent, it efficiently exhausts heat from the engine bay, preventing engine overheating. Made from 2.0mm thick aluminum material, it also considers weight increase.

Both Type-1 (S580460) and Type-2 (S580470) can be installed on both MT and AT vehicles.

Type-1 and Type-2 have different installation heights; Type-2 is installed approximately 10-15mm lower.

Type-1 has a raised mounting position to lower the vehicle height while maintaining road clearance.

Type-2 is designed to be installed at almost the same height as the OEM undercover to make it easier to lower coolant and oil temperatures, even on AT vehicles.

In areas with heavy snow, Type-2 is recommended even for MT vehicles when the purpose is to protect the under panel from snow and de-icing agents. Also, for AT vehicles where you want to lower the vehicle height as much as possible, Type-1 can be selected. In that case, it is recommended to monitor coolant and oil temperatures by installing additional gauges, etc.

Note:

* Using Type-1 on an AT vehicle may result in narrow clearance between the transmission case and the under panel, potentially preventing proper exhaust of air from the engine bay and causing coolant and oil temperatures not to drop.

* When using Type-2, to ensure a minimum ground clearance of 90mm, you will not be able to lower the vehicle height as much as when using Type-1.
