Description
Increases the torsional rigidity of the torsion beam and suppresses rear roll (stabilizer effect).
It expands the range of tuning possibilities even with the vehicle's current specifications, such as when you want to suppress roll a bit more but don't want to worsen ride comfort by increasing the rear spring rate, or during hard suspension sports driving where the choice of spring rates is limited due to the specially shaped rear springs, making fine-tuning difficult.
During cornering, centrifugal force pulls the vehicle body outward, causing it to lean (roll). When the body rolls, load shifts to the outside, putting the outside tire into a bump stroke (lifted state).
A stabilizer connects the left and right suspensions, so when one tire lifts, it exerts a force to lift the opposite tire as well. Therefore, during cornering, it works to lift the inside tire, suppressing body roll.
For the same shape and material, a thicker torsion bar diameter increases torsional rigidity, resulting in a greater force to make the opposite tire follow.
We also offer the torsion bar alone for separate purchase (sold separately), allowing for fine-tuning adjustments according to changes in tire type or road conditions.
